Three Kinds of Flags
Depending on what branch of the United States Armed Forces you serve in, you will have a certain type of American flag patch available to wear. The three primary types of patches are: full-color flags, infrared flag patches, and subdued flag patches. No matter what type a soldier wears, it will be represented backwards as you see above.
